Megan has significant experience assisting business owners with challenges relating to corporate governance, employment issues, shareholder disputes and contract disputes. Megan has extensive experience representing small companies and large corporations in business and litigation issues. Megan's clients range from technology start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations. 

Megan has experience in multi-jurisdictional commercial litigation, breach of fiduciary duty, business torts, mortgage foreclosure litigation, lender liability claims, collection, and debt workouts. Megan’s notable cases include her role as first chair/lead trial counsel in complex commercial litigation matters including tax disputes, commercial contract disputes, employment disputes, partnership/shareholder disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, and trade secret claims.  Megan has also represented clients in high stakes family law disputes. Megan has been recognized for her representation in trade secret and other cases involving complex e-discovery issues and forensic analysis of electronically stored information. 

Megan has significant trial victories including a $40,000,000 corporate income tax case for a Fortune 500 company, a bench trial judgment in favor of her client on a breach of contract claim and piercing the corporate veil victory, commercial leasing issues, trade secret violations, restrictive covenant disputes, corporate divorce, ownership disputes and business succession issues. Megan also has experience handling commercial real estate, mortgage foreclosures, and workouts for banks and lenders.

Megan developed an e-Discovery consulting practice providing consulting services to clients and law firms. Megan leverages her experience handling multi-jurisdictional litigation matters involving significant amounts of electronically stored information to assist her clients in managing their e-Discovery needs in a creative, efficient and effective way.

Megan is very active in her community. Megan currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Coalition of Women's Initiatives in law. (www.thewomenscoalition.com).  Megan also has served for 2 years as the co-chair of the Coalition's Career Development Committee.  Megan spent many years on the Board of Directors for Women in Management, Inc.

Megan has been recognized for her community service contributions. In 2015, Megan received the Alta May Hulett award from the Chicago Bar Association’s Alliance for Women.  The Alta May Hulett award is named after the first woman attorney in Illinois and is given to nominees that have demonstrated a high level of excellence in their careers and have substantially contributed to the advancement of women. 
In 2011, she received the Woman of Achievement award from the Near West Cook Chapter of Women in Management, Inc.  Also in 2011, Megan received the National Charlotte Danstrom Award for community service from Women in Management, Inc. (see tribute video). Megan has also been recognized by Super Lawyer Magazine as a Rising Star (attorney under 40) for 7 years (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016).
