Melissa J. Lettiere
Melissa is a partner with Stahl Cowen’s commercial litigation team and advises clients on the resolution of complex business disputes and real estate related matters. She strategically counsels her clients to resolution of a diverse range of matters facing businesses including cases involving breach of contract, fraud, negligence, enforceability of non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements, lien priority disputes, quiet title and reformation actions, title and mortgage fraud, title insurance coverage determination, loss valuation, subrogation and recovery actions, defalcations, agent liability, commercial foreclosure, and bankruptcy litigation. Melissa provides offensive and defensive representation at any stage of the proceeding whether the matter is already pending in court, is yet to be filed, or in need of pre-litigation counseling.Melissa also represents businesses in connection with the review, negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts including service agreements, non-disclosure, non-compete, non-solicit agreements, residential, commercial and equipment leases and settlement agreements.
Melissa is a member of the 2016 Leadership Academy class and Title Insurance Litigation Committee of the Tort Trial Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, Chairman of the Executive Board of her church, and school board member and Human Resource Committee Chair at All Day Montessori school in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago.
