Ian Hoffenberg concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation and real estate litigation. Prior to joining the firm in 2003, Mr. Hoffenberg worked in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Robert V. Boharic (now retired) and the Honorable Judge Peter Flynn researching and drafting memoranda and opinions in a wide variety of litigated disputes including class action matters, insurance coverage disputes, administrative review, and corporate disputes regarding issues such as covenants not to compete, trade secrets, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment and declaratory interpretation of agreements. Mr. Hoffenberg also conducted extensive research on a wide range of property disputes, including foreclosure matters, Truth in Lending Act issues, and title disputes. During law school, he worked at a law firm focusing on federal criminal defense and civil actions. - Illinois State Bar Association
