As general corporate counsel, Mr. Addis provides consulting and advisory services in several areas of business law including employment, business practices, securities, finance, and succession planning. He has also been involved in several acquisitions and mergers, both representing sellers and buyers of businesses as well as various parties to corporate, partnership and limited liability company reorganizations.

Mr. Addis has helped finance several business operations through public, private and debt financing arrangements, including public offerings and private placements.

Mr. Addis has significant experience in representing purchasers and sellers of real estate as well as real estate developers.

As part of his representation of business clients, Mr. Addis also provides tax and estate planning services. In addition to wills and trusts, he has significant experience in organizing family partnerships and limited liability companies, succession planning using employee and non-employee stock option plans and shareholder agreements, retirement planning, charitable gifting, and disability planning.

Mr. Addis was in private practice in Denver, Colorado from March, 1981 through February 1984 with the firm of Waldbaum, Corn, Koff & Berger, P.C. He then served as Vice President – Finance, Legal Counsel and Chief Financial Officer for Biosynergy, Inc., a small public company, from February, 1984 to June, 1991 on a part-time basis, in addition to practicing law as a sole practitioner in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. In 1991, he joined the firm of Katz, Karacic & Addis, P.C. Mr. Addis is a founding member of Stahl Cowen Crowley LLC.
