For example, we recently helped an owner successfully execute a complex transaction for the sale of two shopping centers owned by a joint venture between our client and an employee pension fund, who required that both properties be closed on simultaneously. The deal involved selling a shopping center in California to a publicly traded REIT in a $42.5 million disposition, while the property in Washington was sold to a venture between our client and an affiliate of AIG insurance for $35.5 million.
